This has to be the single hardest picture I've ever drawn. It looks a little flat right now because my computer in my room (I can only surf on my parents computer) isn't working right now (It just needs refreshed, nothing big) so I couldn't run it through my usual brightness/contrast filters. I also need to touch up a few bits of color, it should be done by the end of the week.
BTW, I don't add extra color to my pictures, my scanner actually dulls them and I have to use Corel to fix it. And, yes, I am loving my new Prismacolors!
*EDIT* Ran the pic through the color filters so you can see what it really looks like. *
you did a beutiful job! the colouring and shading is awesome! shading with traditional materals is harder than it looks, so extra points for that! the anatomy on the girl is really good and her expression looks peacful because of her music. As for the background, the tree, shrubs and grass, it look great!! that wall design is interesting. I like it.

Thanks. The expression was actually pretty easy, I see it a lot because I watch people play music. The background, however, was a PAIN! That was also the first time I have ever drawn any form of foliage. And I'm not really sure what is with the wall, it's something I see in fantasy pictures a lot.

Full color drawings with a background are the hardest! But, they're also the most rewarding.
I have the same color problem with my scanner
Prismacolors rock! I need to do more with mine.
